It's About Dharma In Eklavya

The eyeglasses were ready on Monday itself, but didn't get time to collect it till yesterday. Evening I drove to the city and what a traffic it was! The roads were flooded with vehicles and I had pretty tough time riding my bike. You will never know when the car on the front is gonna apply breaks or some biker is gonna overtake you from the left. Finally I reached the shop and got my eyeglasses. I put it on. Wow! What a difference, everything is so much clearer now, much sharper and colourful. *I looked at the mirror and I liked what I saw.*
I then went to the cinema to see Eklavya - The Royal Guard. This is the fourth Vidhu Vinod Chopra film that I am watching and he hasn't disappointed me till now. With Ekalavya, it is a mixed feeling. Half of the time, I was trying to catch up with the dialogues. My first language is not Hindi. I can understand normally used Hindi words, but not the extreme rhetorical ones. All the actors have shown amazing acting skills, something that Bollywood really lacks. But with such a grand star cast and just 1 hour and 40 minutes of reel length *thank God!*, I feel that the actors didn't get enough exposure, except for Amitabh Bachan and Saif Ali Khan. Vidya Balan once again was at her finest. I especially liked
the part where blind folded Eklavya tests his archery skills and the kite flying scene. The slow soulful melodic song, "Chanda Re" is definitely one of the plus points of the movie.

After the movie, I went to the S Cafe. I ordered a chocolate shake *this place gives me the best chocolate shake in the whole city* and sat in a corner, slowly sipping and checking out the guys. Today, unlike the other times, there weren't that much to drool about. So I started drinking faster. *What's the use sitting there alone, with no eye candy around!* When I was about to finish, this incredibly good looking hunk with muscular arms walks in. He looked at me. Nothing magical happened. *sigh* He took a lemon tea and left the place.
